Summarized/Abstract
The distribution of the settlements and the benthic species of invertebrates was studied, in the rivers of Corsica, on two scales: the hydrographic network (longitudinal distribution) and the station (horizontal distribution). The study of the microhabitats and their settlements, by the Factorial Analysis of the Correspondences, makes it possible to specify the influence of the hydrodynamism and the substrate on the mesologic and faunistic characteristics of these rivers. The analysis of the horizontal distribution of the invertebrates highlighted the role of the substrate and the current. These abiotic factors of distribution, condition the habitat of each species. The analysis of the settlementsof the microhabitats was carried out under the trophic angle. The mode of nutrition is one of the biotic components determining the distribution. The space and temporal variations of the pledged communities to different the microhabitats were studied on the scale of the hydrographic network. The temporal dynamics of benthic fauna was analyzed by the seasonal changes of the communities of the microhabitats. Modifications of the mesologic and faunistic characteristics induced by the disturbances natural (rising) and anthropic (hydroelectric installation) were the subject of a particular study
